Today we will just be going over the Trans Pride NI March route.
This is our March route YouTube video at
I’m Michael from Trans Pride NI.
Trans Pride NI has notified the Parades Commission and police that we will be having a Trans Pride NI March, on 1st June, at 12pm.
I am a trained Marshall and first aider and there are going to be another 4 trained first aiders present on the day. I am currently doing an Understanding Stewarding at spectator events course, to make sure everyone is safe and the crowd is managed. We have public liability insurance, a health and safety policy and a risk assessment of the route will be carried out. We are also going to have a pre-planning meeting with the police before the March.
We are going to start here at Buoy Park in Belfast, then go down Academy Street to Donegall Street to Waring Street. We will march across Waring Street, go up North Street and across Union Street. We will then return to Buoy Park via Donegall Street. This will take about 30 minutes and we hope to be back in Buoy Park for the Trans Pride Rally, at 12.30pm.
Everyone can attend this event. Trans Pride NI has children and vulnerable adult policies. The route is wheelchair accessible. Bring trans, intersex and Non Binary Friendly flags, banners, whistles, drums and any other instruments you want. Let’s have fun and make some noise! If you would like to join the March, contact info@transprideni.com for further details. Trans Pride NI’s Code of Conduct at the March, is on its website at Trans Pride NI . Com
